History of the Rolex Sky-Dweller

The Rolex Sky-Dweller is one of the newer Rolex watch models. Introduced at Baselworld in 2012, this
jaw-dropping model caught the eye of many, not just for its aesthetic qualities and craftsmanship, but
because it was the first Rolex watch model to be released in 20 years. Plus, it was only one out of two
new complications during a 50-year span.

This newer model of Rolex was marketed by the brand as being an ideal Rolex watch for the avid
traveler. With its sporty style and eye-catching appeal, this watch model was a true hit with Rolex
aficionados.

The Rolex Sky-Dweller contains a rotating 24-hour disc, second time zone, date display window, and
calendar function.

First Rolex Sky-Dweller Release

When Rolex launched its Sky-Dweller model, there were three varieties available. The Reference 326935
is Everose gold with brown alligator strap and brown dial, the Reference 326938 is an 18k yellow gold
with champagne dial watch, and the Reference 326939 is an 18k white gold with ivory dial model.

These first releases of the Rolex Sky-Dweller were fitted with a 42mm case, in-house calibre 9001, and
72-hour power reserve. The date, month, and dual-time zone display are also signature characteristics
of the first Rolex Sky-Dweller models.

Updates to the Original Rolex Sky-Dweller

In 2014, the Rolex Sky-Dweller model received a few updates. At Baselworld that year, new styles of the
Rolex Sky-Dweller were introduced. The Reference 326139, with its white gold material, black dial, and
black alligator strap, was added to the collection. Also, the Reference 326138 was featured which had a
yellow gold material and brown alligator strap.

Later, in 2017, two new Rolesor models were introduced, Reference 326933 and Reference 326934.
Reference 326933 is an 18k yellow gold and 904L stainless steel Rolex with a white, black, or champagne
color dial while the Reference 326934 is an 18k white gold and 904L stainless steel option with your
choice of blue, black, or white dial. Both models had updated features including rectangular dial
markers, longer hands, and Chromalight display.
